The surface pro 4 has been rumored to have the wildest things inside but here at wisepcadvise, we concentrate on the reality of what might be inside the next generation of Surface.
So, the processor:
This is actually a quite interesting debate. Most tech websites are betting that a M core Processor will feature in the Surface Pro 4. M core processors are Ultra-Ultra Low Power Processors. That’s right, not just a ultra low Power processor but a Utra-Ultra low Power Processor. So low in fact it only uses 4 watts compared to the 15 watt processes found in the Surface pro 3. This is great for keeping the heat output to a minimal (making the device fan less) but still being faster than an Intel i3.The battery life is also greatly increases due to its low power consumption However, the performance on the Yoga pro 3, which featured a Intel core M, has is worse than its Predecessor. This is why I don’t believe the core M will feature in the new Surface. It might however feature in the 8 inch version (if there is one). I expect the usual Intel i3,i5,i7 processors to feature in the new Surface
To the design:
So, how will it look like ? I think it would stay the same. The surface pro 3 is a beautifully product. Its as good as it will get. They might make it thinner (which might not be a good idea as its quite thin already and making it thinner might make it fragile) or add a second USB port which would be very useful. I hope they improve the kickstand so that the “lapabillity” becomes better.
Accessories ?
The surface has some great accessories like the type cover (in Microsoft’s mind this is a Accessory. Don’t ask me why.) However, they should be improving them. They literally are sitting on a goldmine.If they make dj covers, second screen covers, 3D scanner covers, drawing pad cover etc… they would make a lot of money. It also would attract many artists to move to the Windows OS.
Verdict
The Surface pro 4 will maybe be the last Surface we will ever see. The surface team has done an amazing job in bringing out a world class product which matches anything out there in the market. The surface pro 4 will be another hit with a intel i3,i5,i7 or even an xeon processor inside. The body will look awesome and the type cover will improve and become even better. Obviously, the price will be outrageous but they may this time include the type cover in the Surface pro 4. Whatever happens, expect another amazing product from Microsoft’s surface team
