The Lumia 1030 phone has been rumored for a very long time. After a successful launch of a high resolution phone from Nokia, will Microsoft continue this tradition and make its own high resolution camera ?
Specification ?
The Lumia 1030 will be equipped with the latest processor around. Possibly a Qualcomm made processor like its predecessor. It might also feature a bigger screen with a improved resolution. How much better ? Microsoft might put a QHD display or even a 4K display. But why ? As its predecessor was mainly aimed at professionals, the Lumia phone might need to display its high resolution image better than a 1080p screen can do. Other than that, I would think that the hardware of the Lumia 1030 would just be general improvements.
Camera ?
The phone will definitely get a megapixel boost from its predecessor. But by how much ? That factor can be decided by the processor itself used. The most current processor from Qualcomm (Snapdragon 810) cannot support a camera that has a higher resolution camera more than 55 Megapixel. However, Microsoft could finally decide to put a dedicated processor for its camera. This could solve most of the slow camera issues experienced on the Nokia 1020 but also improve the resolution that the camera could be.
Looks?
The phone will probably be slimmed down. It would also have a expandable micro sd slot. It would also probably have the same or similar looks as the Lumia 830. That would make it very appealing for consumers to have.
Price ?
The way Microsoft prices its experimental hardware, I would not be surprised if this would be priced as the most expensive phone out there (excluding luxury brands).
