Lumia 1530 or Lumia 940 XL?

Another phone and tones of rumors. Lets sort out the ridiculous from the sane for the Microsoft Lumia 1530 (or will it be called something else)

What about the Specs?

Its been over 1 years since the release of the Nokia Lumia 1520. I actually own one myself. Its a 6 inch yellow beast which packs a fast Snapdragon 800 processor with a 20 megapixel camera. This phone was released to compete with the Android version of phablets such as the Galaxy Note 4. Microsoft has already released their first phablet, the lumia 640 XL. This featured a nice 5.7 inch screen with a quad core processor and a 13 megapixel camera. So what are we to expect from the high class Lumia range?

The Lumia 1530 will hopefully sport a 5.7″ display, just like its 640 XL brother. However, the resolution will probably be a QHD display.

At this moment in time of writing, I don’t know which processor they will include. Will it be a Snapdragon or an Intel? A new feature rolling out in Windows 10 is Continuum for Phones which allows your phone to be turned into a desktop but is only allowed to run Windows store apps (Basically like a windows RT). It is also allowed to be used as a phone at the same time it is used as a Desktop. Therefore, the processor must have the capability to do that.

The RAM of the phone must be enough so that it can be used as a desktop. So therefore expect 2-4 GB of RAM.

The Camera of this phone will be another beast. It will probably sport a megapixel count between 21-30 Megapixels. The front camera will probably be between 5-10 Megapixels. So, another camera beast is to be expected from Microsoft.

The look and feel of the phone won’t be too different from the Lumia 830. The phone will probably have a metal edge with plastic at the back for wireless charging. The phone is to be expected to have the ability to increase the storage by using a micro sd card. The battery won’t be removable like its predecessor. Also to be expected is a new USB Type – C connector for charging and a data transfer

That about covers the phone. Another windows phone but with a Microsoft branding. Will it be any good? Well, we should see the release of the phone as soon as Windows 10 Mobile is ready for the masses.

Stay tuned for more……
